This 1996 Nissan Skyline GT-R NISMO 400R is one of the most legendary and collectible GT-Rs ever produced, finished in Sonic Silver (KR4) and identified as Build No.6. Based on the BCNR33 platform and developed directly by NISMO, the 400R was an ultra-limited production model created to showcase the ultimate road-going evolution of the Skyline GT-R. Today, only 44 known examples are believed to exist worldwide, making it one of the rarest factory-built GT-Rs ever made.

At the heart of the 400R is the legendary RB-X GT2 2.8-liter twin-turbo engine, producing 400 ps and 47.8 kgf·m of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and the advanced ATTESA E-TS Pro AWD system. The engine itself was comprehensively re-engineered by NISMO with an increased bore and reinforced block, forged internal components, N1 turbines, sports intercooler, titanium dual exhaust, and a dedicated ECCS control system—creating a powertrain far beyond a standard RB26DETT.

The 400R also received extensive chassis, aerodynamic, and suspension upgrades including Bilstein suspension manufactured by ENP, carbon fiber driveshaft, twin-plate clutch, dry carbon hood, LM-GT1 wheels, widened bodywork, functional brake and oil cooler ducting, and the iconic variable carbon rear wing. Inside, the car features exclusive equipment such as the 400R-specific combination meter, titanium shift knob, dedicated steering wheel, and Type-R reclining bucket seats.

This particular example remains largely stock condition, with only a DRL radiator fitted as an upgrade, preserving the authenticity and original engineering philosophy of the car.

More importantly, this vehicle was acquired through our exclusive “Saikyo Kaitori” (Ultimate Purchase) network, directly from a previous owner who clearly cherished and carefully preserved the car over the years. Although the vehicle has accumulated mileage, it continues to present in exceptionally clean and well-maintained condition, reflecting the quality of ownership and care it has received throughout its life.

A NISMO 400R is already a once-in-a-lifetime car, but examples with this level of preservation, originality, and ownership background are becoming increasingly difficult to find. This is truly a vehicle that must be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
